Evel Knievel: a True American Icon In the early 1970's when America was in need of hope, just coming off the Vietnam war, one man stood to entertain and inspire. Growing up in those days, if you were a boy with a bike, you wanted to be Evel Knievel. I know, I've got the scars to prove it. When Evel passed-on recently, we lost a True Icon of the American Dream. In the early 1980's, Knievel decided to share with us fans his private creations via lithography. This rare 1983 Limited Edition piece is numbered to exhibit its truly scarce nature. This beautiful work of art entitled "The Red Rooster", is classic, and a true collector's dream. Knievel's vivid choice of colors simply fires up emotions of intensity. This particular litho is #2492 of only 2500 ever printed. Very Valuable to collectors, and fans alike. Approximately 20"X15" with large borders, once framed, this will accent any room. "The Red Rooster" is in good condition, with only a few smudges on the border. This litho of "The Red Rooster" has two signatures; one was when Evel Knievel painted the piece, the other signature is in pencil and is an actual "wet" signature on the litho itself. Very valuable to collectors, very inspirational to fans. |
