One of San Diego County's gems of a bass lake is Lake Murray. At the entrance of the city of La Mesa, just east of the San Diego community of San Carlos, lies this very small lake full of very big bass. Due to its large population of trout fed Florida strain largemouth bass, Lake Murray is a staple of the trophy bass hunting community.
